Rhode Island : Tourist's Hot Spots

Rhode Island, the first state to call off slavery in U.S resides in the New England region of   United States. The smallest U.S state among the other 50 states by area shares its boundary with New York Long Island. Providence, the capital of Rhodes Island is a fine city but with a small amount of traffic. Rhodes Island also known as “The Ocean State” is spreaded in 1682 miles.

Providence:
Founded in 1636 by Roger Williams Providence is the first established city of United States.  The city is famous for its historic places and United States has spended Millions of dollars till now to restore the historic beauty of the city. It is one of the most charming city of U.S because of its lined parks, restaurants and scenic beauty.

•    Roger Williams Park Zoo:
A variety of different animals like elephants, polar bears and many other species can be seen at the Roger Williams Park which is also an award winning park. Botanical gardens covering the zoo boundary make it more attractive and delightful.

•    Rhode Island School of Design Museum:
From Greeks to Romans till America’s 20th century from Ancient to Asian art the RISD covers all paintings, sculptures and drawing till the early 20th century.

•    WaterFire Providence:
A flame of 100 bonfires can be seen in series just above the main rivers making a way through the downtown Providence. Various classical as well as world music can be heard while passing through the fresh air of the city.

Newport:
A whirlpool seaport of the city that grew famous in 18 century is famous for its splendid Mansions and Cliffwalk. For people who have given their heart to tennis Then International Tennis Hall of Fame awaits for them.

•    Cliffwalk:
National Recreational chase running along the cliff and giving a look at the historic areas and large ocean is one of the famous spot in the Cliffwalk region of Rhodes Island.

•    The International Tennis Hall of Fame:
For tennis lovers, the oldest grass courts in America, which are the only ones open for local public play, can be found at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, located in the historic Newport Casino.
