Rhode Island : Administration

Rhode Island is ranked 43rd among the 50 states of U.S. and was admitted to the United States union in 1790 as the 30th state. Rhode Island is located in the New England region of United States. The Governor of Rhode Island serves as the chief executive of the state and has the authority to manage the government as established by the Constitution of Rhode Island. The governor and the lieutenant governor are jointly elected for a four-year term. The governor works with the General Assembly of Rhode Island and the Supreme Court of Rhode Island to govern the state and has the authority to adjust the other branches.. The Rhode Island General Assembly comprises of 38-members in Senate (upper house) and 75-members in House of Representatives (lower house).
